This was an interesting and really weird read The content of the book was super interesting However, how the author wrote the book was weird She kept talking about her spirit guide while telling facts about secret societies in the world The author shares that many secret societies affect the lives of each of us every day This can be in different areas such as religion, politics, economy, government, crime, or other worldwide influences The author shares her knowledge of the conspiracies, coverup [...]

Another book where I wish I could give less than one star My friend borrowed this book from the library for me because the title sounded cool, but as soon as I saw who the author was, my heart sank. The Psychic Writing about secret societies The entire book reads like a wiki page that needs to have its sources check For a serious research book like this, one would think she would have a wealth of sources, but she never quotes any In fact, there isn t even a bibliography in the back The closest sh [...]

I had to pretend this was fiction just to get through it It was a little too full of conspiracy theories for me and the author kept contradicting herself Plus she claims she has a spirit guide named Francine who gives her insight on what to research and which claims are true I don t think the voices in your head count as a peer reviewed reference.

From the description of this book you would think it would be pretty captivating and informative which is exactly why I got it to listen to for a long drive last week with my dad The first clue that this was not going to be what I had hoped came in the prologue when the author informed us that the main inspiration and many of the facts for this book came from her spritual guide Francine who periodically talks through her And it pretty much didn t get better after that The whole story was told in [...]

Because of this book, I m now researching the history of the Cathars I also want to read about the political societies called Skull and Bones that so many Presidents have been members of , The Trilateral Commission, The Bilderberg Group and She presents many theories and interesting facts about the dark side of secrecy including lies about Jesus Christ that I take with a grain of salt considering I m a strong Christian follower of Jesus Christ Thank goodness I m open minded and interested in r [...]

I am a conspiracy theory nut when it comes to the underground societies that supposedly rule our world This one gives you just enough to make you want She is a self proclaimed psychic and sometimes refers to Francine her spirit contact which loses credibility for me, but the good stuff was quite interesting

This one stunk Wish I could have rated it a zero Why did I want to read this one Don t waste your time unless you want to have the authors views on God and religion thrust down your throat she says that the secret information comes from her spirit guide That should tell you all you need to know.

Matthew Broman

not a bad book

To be honest, I actually had high hopes for this book when I first picked it up Unfortunately for me, though, I quickly re learned the lesson that sometimes you need to read through the first few pages of a book to make sure what you re reading is actually worthwhile Instead of finding an interesting book about secret societies, I ended up with a book that left me aggravated than anything.I suppose the first warning sign I should have taken note of was that of the author s mentioning of her Spi [...]

This was my first time reading anything written by Sylvia Browne, but having grown up in the 90s with a serious television addiction, I knew who she was That was also one of the reasons I had always avoided her books, that and the fact that I m leery of anyone who places a large photo of themselves on the front cover and isn t writing a memoir However, while looking for books on certain secret societies, this book popped up and I figured why not It would at least give me a good starting point fo [...]

Sam

This book was slightly different than others Sylvia Browne has written because there was fact in the chapters than conjecture from Ms Browne s Spirit Guide, Francine The chapters on secret societies were informative, historically based, and provided much fact This book was a good one from the perspective of not getting overwhelmed with information So, if you re looking for a succinct factual interpretation of secret societies with a little bit of secret information courtesy of Francine who resi [...]

If the Top Leaders of the World have been involved with Secret Societies since the beginning of time, why wouldn t we want to find out who they are and what they are studying I have been a member of one of the Secret Societies Sylvia Browne discusses in this book, and I was reassured to hear her point of view of a group I have been studying with for the past decade This book opened my eyes to the other groups that were out there, and one day, when I was driving home from work, I saw the Free Mas [...]

I don t trust this woman, but i am rather bored and figured I might as well give her a chance and see if it alters my preformed opinion I read this book mainly because I have never liked her without any sound reason and I already know a lot on this topic, the better to judge her After reading this I think it shuld be titled A history of Gnosticism, with a little bit about secret societies Much of her information is erroneus and mistaken, but I think she has the best of intentions at heart and a [...]

I already have a Sylvia Browne book in my This is Bullshit category, but I saw this at Borders today and couldn t resist adding it Ms Browne, she of the I ve smoked so many cigarettes my voice is deeper than James Earl Jones , is here to tell us all about Freemasons, Opus Dei, the Illuminati, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderbergers, the Rothschilds, the John Birch Society, KAOS, the Rebel Alliance, the Cylons, and other nefarious secret societies that wish to conquer the world.I mean [...]

Lerline Fitzgerald

DisappointingThis book was written mostly according to what information the author s spirit guide told her NOTE i believe a spirit guide is a demon who transforms itself in tricking you that it s there to enlighten you into the truth I do not recommend this book because it s a little truth mostly mixed up with lies that this demon inspired this author to believe and write Sylvia appears to have put all her faith, hope and belief in this demon she calls her spirit guide I question her beliefs as [...]

Not one of her best works It felt very chopping, with parenthetical references to prior or upcoming chapters throughout Sylvia wasn t meant to write history books, I guess There were two glaring problems that bothered me in this book claiming not to know if one individual ever existed, and claiming not to have an answer to an ancient murder mystery Those seem like obvious things to consult with a spirit guide on, given that that guide has provided numerous other answers and clarifications.

Kyle Pennekamp

I usually don t quote too much in these reviews, but I feel with this one I must From the introduction I first came upon this topic innocently enough 37 years ago, thanks to my spirit guide Francine For those of you who don t know, Francine has been with me my entire life Although I can hear her, I can t take listening to her for very long because her voice comes into my right ear and sounds really off key I therefore prefer to go into trance and have her speak THROUGH me Booya.

Alysha

A disappointing read I thought this book would give me relevant, interesting information about secret groups like the Free Masons, the Knights Templar and the Illuminati It was mediocre and I got nothing out of it I don t know how she managed to make a book about secret societies boring This is a non fiction book and there was too much of the author s perception in it as well Crap on a stick I need to find a better book on the topic.

Lisa

A good summary and review of Freemasonry, Knights Templar, etc and their influence on American Politics, fascinating how many prominent Americans Politicians were and ARE members Secrets of the Catholic Church regarding the crucifiction and Christ s marriage to Mary Magdelene Touches on Rosicruians, I went to their museum in San Jose last year fascinating I m very interested in these subjects and want to explore .

Nwaocha Ogechukwu

i understand where Sylvia is heading with her book, but i must suggest that the publisher of this book should try and include the entire chapter the one i have here lacks from chapter 136 to 184 so i strongly suggest that the publisher made a big mistake in the work even though it s a perfect work mainly for the study of spiritual science. From Author Nwaocha The Great Mind

Lisa

I don t like Sylvia Browne at all, but found myself needing to read this book It s very well done, albeit short and not as elaborate as I would have liked There are so many other secret societies I feel she could have written about Otherwise I do recommend this book, but wouldn t touch her regular tomes.

Ericka

I m partial to Sylvia Browne, but the research behind this book is impressive I thought it would be your normal conspiracy theory book, but it wasn t She accurately portrayed the Freemasons and even though I don t agree with some of her views on other groups she has full information on everyone This book should open a lot of eyes.

Patricia

So far, I m enjoying the review of the history of Secret Societies, but I very much wish the author wouldn t refer to her spirit guide Francine so much While I do not dismiss the idea of spirit guides, I seriously question using them as reference sources.

K

This book really made me think I always enjoy reading about history and myths and this is chalk full of ones It was very fun to read I would recommend it for someone wanting to learn interesting fun things.

Mel

Simplemente, uno de esos libros que hay que leer con la mente muy abierta Empieza con un objetivo, y de repente da un giro repentino y tan relacionado con la informaci n anterior que no puedes dejar de leer Excelente libro.

April

Really great book that told you what the basis of the secret societies of the world Some I had heard of, like Masons, and some that I didn t know had existed I had an interest in this since my Grandfather was a Mason and he never spoke of it.

Sandy Rovas

Though Sylvia Browne s books are repetative often seem to go off topic, I like them as a good overview of topics providing resources of topics I may want to delve into further I skimmed this book but found it interesting enough to re read with an eye on further research.

Ann

Loved this one

Kate Zirkle

I didn t care for this one by her It was really negative and almost too focused on scaring the reader.

Carol Collins

OMG What bunk.
