This book makes me wonder how long someone can remain hidden The killer said, himself, that he thought he would get away for a few weeks or a few months, but, 18 years This makes me appreciate or at least be grateful for some of the things I ve been through and also, very thankful for technological advances.
Well written, but a bit too long Many details which must have been novelized A good read overall.
This is one of the most genuinely creepy books I have ever read The story of John List how he planned, methodically executed his entire family then fled, assumed a new identity and escaped capture for than 18 years is almost unbelieveable He was captured shortly after an episode of America s Most Wanted aired They had taken a photograph of List from the early 70 s, aged it and made a bust which was almost immediately recognized by his neighbour who then called police I cannot imagine what it wo [...]
